Electrolysis Treatment

Each hair is individually treated by inserting a fine surgical probe into the hair folicle (which is a natural hole in the skin where the hair grows from) then an electrical impulse is discharged causing the hair to become lose.  The hair is removed.  This process is then repeated until the area has been cleared of unwanted hair.

Electrolysis works by weakening the hair until eventually it stops growing. A series of treatments is required for the hair to become permanently removed. It is very much an individual treatment as each person will take different amounts of treatment for the hair to stop growing.  Other factors that can influence treatment times are previous shaving and medical conditions.  We will be happy to discuss this with you during your consultation.

On your first appointment you will have a full consultation for Electrolysis Treatment.  We will fully explain Electrolysis and answer any questions you may have. We will then discuss with you a suitable personalised treatment plan to achieve the best results. You can then go ahead with your electrolysis treatment plan and at the end of each treatment we will ensure that you fully understand any aftercare that is required.

Does Electrolysis really remove hair permanently?

Yes it does eventually if you follow your treatment plan.  Electrolysis is the ONLY medically proven permanent method of hair removal.  Laser and IPL, waxing, shaving  treatments can only reduce unwanted hair growth and are not a permanent method.

What equipment do you use?

We use Sterex equipment for electrolysis.

Do you reuse needles?

NO absolutely NOT.  We use single use disposable needles which have been steralised to hospital standards.
